Picking the Right Brochure Fold
The fold sets the rhythm of how your brochure is read. Tri-fold brochures are the classic choice for an organized three-panel pitch and slip neatly into a standard envelope. Half-fold brochures read like a simple booklet and suit menus or short overviews. Z-fold brochures reveal each panel in sequence, which works well for step-by-step content, and specialty folds make a bigger statement when you want the piece itself to feel premium. Map your content to the panels first, then pick the fold that lets the story unfold naturally.
Designing for Print
Brochures live or die on layout, so give each panel a clear job: a strong cover, an inviting inside spread, and a back panel that closes with contact details or a call to action. Heavier stocks and a gloss or matte coating keep the piece feeling substantial and protect it from creasing. Leave room around the folds so text and images are not lost in the seams, and the finished brochure will feel as considered as the message inside it.
